From the lake to the plate
Fisherman Sander from Naturgut Köllnitz, which is located in the middle of the nature reserve around the Groß Schauen chain of lakes, invites you to a unique evening on the subject of fishing.

The tour starts with a short trip on a fishing boat, during which you will learn hands-on in a small group how traditional fishing works and which fishing methods are used to further promote sustainability and biodiversity. Afterwards, char is smoked in the small smoking oven right by the water with a refreshing drink and Sander reveals exciting tips and tricks about smoking. After the starter, which is lovingly prepared and served by chef Stefan Ziegenhagen, you can fillet the smoked char together and enjoy it with fresh bread and horseradish. Wine and beer from the region as well as water and soft drinks are offered to match the fish. After a sweet dessert, you can ask questions and find out even more exciting facts about the work on the Naturgut during a final Q&A session.

… Sander is a master fish farmer and has been part of the team at Fischerei Köllnitz for several years now. Sander deliberately chose the Naturgut in Köllnitz because the farm attaches great importance to sustainability. In Köllnitz, for example, it is a matter of course that the restaurant serves a plate with lettuce from the field, pikeperch from the lake and organic potatoes from next door. Sander lives and loves his vocation and even on a day off he would grab a boat, go out on the lake and go fishing.
