The 10,000 m² boulder farm is located between Berlin and Oderbruch on the edge of Strausberg in Märkische Schweiz, directly on the Ruhlsdorfer Herrensee. The young moraine landscape of Märkische Schweiz is the result of the forces of the inland ice of the Weichsel glacial period, which covered large parts of the region until around 11,600 years ago. Here you can feel, smell, see and taste nature.

Kurt Zirwes
Kurt Zirwes has been living in Ruhlsdorf near Strausberg for 30 years now. He is one of the people who started a whole new chapter in their lives in the Oder-Spree lake district, living in harmony with local stones and erratic blocks. He is happy to share this with interested guests at his foundling farm. Kurt collects stones wherever he can and processes them in very different ways. They serve as material for stone works of art, become sound stones and help to rediscover the healthy self through stone balancing.
