Lithography courses
ART PRACTICE Christoph Geyer
Visit the KUNST-PRAXIS in Gosen and marvel at the heart of the lithography workshop, the 100-year-old press, and use it for your own work.
In addition to lithography, other classic printing techniques such as material printing, monotype, woodcut, linocut and letterpress printing can also be carried out, and even the essentials for bookbinding are available. Watercolor painting and calligraphy are also on offer.
When the weather is fine, individually tailored courses take place outside on the doorstep, as a group event with up to 6 participants. Thursday afternoons are also available for consultations. Curiosity and the joy of experimenting should be brought along.

Lithography courses offer the possibility of traditional lithography as invented by Alois Senefelder in 1796. This original form of lithography offers not only the draughtsman the opportunity to develop his talent to the full, as he has the possibility to work with a fine pen, but also with a brush and with chalks of different hardness. The graphics are printed by hand on an old Krause friction press.
The work is done on delicate Solenhofen stone plates, which have always been among the most valuable possessions of a lithographic print shop. Corrections and additions can be made on them to an almost unlimited extent.
