This course offers insights into the craft and art of wood sculpture - from the historical development, materials, tools and processing techniques to the creative realization of your own wooden sculpture. Connections to sculpting with other materials are also made: Part of the program includes a visit to the Gustav Seitz Museum on the Trebnitz Castle campus.
The practical work and design is dedicated to sculptures of human heads and masks, which are created from pieces of wood measuring around 40 x 60 cm. The main focus here is on the joy of working artistically with a natural material and confidence in one's own creative power.

In the intermediate building, a modern, light-flooded seminar room with a large window front facing the courtyard invites you to concentrate on your work. A further workroom is located on the upper floor. The entire building is accessible for wheelchair users thanks to a ramp.
